Community Garden Project

New for 2026...

Dig for Dementia is coming to the Andover community!

In partnership with Dementia Friendly Hampshire and Andover Museum and The Museum of the Iron Age, we’re creating a welcoming community garden designed especially for people living with dementia.

With support from Test Valley Borough Council, an unused museum courtyard is being transformed into a vibrant, shared space filled with activity, connection, and the joy of gardening.

Our project launches in March, with the first gardening group session taking place on Tuesday 31 March, from 10am to 12pm. Everyone is welcome—join in with the gardening, or simply drop by Andover Museum for a   friendly chat and a cuppa. We’d love to see you there.

Community Garden Project - Launch Day 24th March 2026
To celebrate our first birthday, Jack hosted a special gathering to officially open our community garden space. It was a lovely afternoon shared with local councillors, the Hampshire Hospitals dementia team, the team from Stannah, and our wonderful friends and family. A perfect way to mark one year of roots, growth, and community support.
